Stepping out and purchasing an RV can seem like a daunting prospect. But getting out there and purchasing can be a lot less daunting when you go used. Buying new leaves purchasers subject to high rates of deprecation in the first few years of ownership. Buying used is the easiest way to avoid the loss of value and save money up front while still getting a high quality product.

Depreciation is usually sharpest in the first two to three years of ownership. That is the perfect age range to buy a used diesel motorhome. It is still new enough to avoid most maintenance or repair issues, and will likely still be in good condition cosmetically, depending on the care of the previous owner. A used diesel motorhome beyond a few years old can still be a safe and smart purchase, depending on use. Look at consumer reviews, consult warranty length, and consult a mechanic before making this investment.

The issue of warranties is an important one. This purchase is going to be a pivotal part of your travel experiences for years to come. When you are traveling is probably the worst time to deal with unexpected problems and delays. When you are in an unfamiliar area, it is harder to find reliable service and assistance, and breakdowns in the wrong place can be dangerous. For these reasons, many buyers choose to buy from a dealer or wholesaler.

Getting your RV from a seller that can offer a manufacturer’s warranty offers several benefits. One reason is that they are usually larger companies; and larger companies typically know their product and know what their purchasing resulting in a well maintained inventory. It’s not in the best interest of the company to sell unreliable products and many often have certified mechanics on hand to offer written vehicle inspections prior to purchase. Larger companies also often offer customer satisfaction guarantees or extended warranty options with the purchase of a recreational vehicle. Purchasing from a larger company also offers the additional protection that comes with local and state regulations enforcing rules of conduct and accountability for product quality.

Used diesel motorhomes definitely come with a lower price tag, but in addition to the lower price you get a great product. The diesel RVs are widely accepted as the best in the RV industry. They offer the traditional self contained design; the living areas are accessible at all times. While it isn’t recommended that passengers should be up and about while the vehicle is moving; the areas are accessible if necessary. The diesel motorhome also offers the higher mileage rate that makes it a more financially conservative choice in comparison to its gas counterparts and everyone knows it’s the way to go for big groups or long trips.

Luxury is at its best in the diesel RV. Buyers can find basic models with low price tags or luxurious models at the higher priced end of the spectrum. The wide range of models in between the budget conscious and the luxury minded provide for the needs of every buyer. But when it comes right down to it…the used diesel RV is not only the choice for many, it’s the right choice for many.

by Tim Richardson

Many anglers fish without ever knowing how their baits actually induce fish to behave the way they do; in taking bait and hook into their mouths. But if you knew better how to achieve this effect in practice, and how to manipulate it more appropriately at times, do you think this would increase your chances of bites and fish landed? If so, then read on!

Bait always involves confidence and indeed many anglers constantly doubt their bait because they do not understand how they truly work, except having very limited and even incorrect ideas or impressions about proteins or flavours; as a result, many anglers are negative about certain baits, without even ever having used them personally! Confidence catches fish for many reasons because it makes you fish better and be sharper and more tuned-in and expectant of success, so you tend to do more things right at the right time, more often, but you can all the confidence in the world and still blank because of a lack of knowledge and understanding! Confidence is the thing that sells commercial readymade baits and anglers take second-hand opinions from so-called big-name anglers thinking they will emulate their success using the same bait, forgetting that many (not all) big-name anglers are the most skilled and talented anglers of their generation.

But why would you need to know anything about bait; maybe you catch your share, maybe you know a range of baits that have worked on your waters previously that you can turn to. Well if you know little about carp vital senses and how to manipulate them to induce more takes you are missing out; big-time and it’s like using putting back on the shelf a flavour with 10 times the potency of anther because the packaging is less flashy, and choosing another flavour that you like the smell of, never realising how much it lacks compared to the other flavour… For instance, many anglers just think flavours are solvent based or natural, or nature-identical and pretty much all the same, but the actual definition of flavours in fishing are extremely diverse and some flavours like chilli compounds even stimulate carp senses more powerfully than usual pulling fish to your swim from ranges many other flavours fail to.

Science is tricky and seemingly irrelevant for many anglers until they realise the enormous significance that chemicals change in solution with water and many substances are simply not the same in water as air, and fish are experiencing different chemicals all over their bodies and not just on the tongue like humans. Imagine garlic on the tongue; it is mixed with air and saliva, but in mixed just water, garlic produces different compounds and the tastes and smells we experience as humans will be different ones that carp experience. This means that the flavours or pungent smells we might imagine impact on the fish may well not be present in the same form at all, and this might mean that something else is triggering a response from carp, even an internal one where something in garlic is acting to produce thermogenic (metabolism and digestion speeding-up effects for example,) and even have very potent antioxidant and antimicrobial impacts etc.

Perhaps you might begin to think maybe something other than just smell and taste was influential and impacting on the carp; maybe something more profound, internal and physiological, or even psychological… To help clarify this big point, I ate a wheat-free biscuit (and wheat-free doughnut today!) Comparing the ingredients with the wheat-containing versions, the only substitution was that the wheat-free foods were based on maize flour, tapioca starch, soya flour and rice flour. All the rest of the ingredients in the wheat-free products were the same as the conventional wheat-based biscuits and doughnuts, including the fruit flavours, sweeteners, acidity regulators, (preservatives) and enhancers etc.

On eating the wheat-free foods I did not want to keep eating them and certainly Homer Simpson would have a shock if his doughnuts were wheat-free as there is something internally potent missing in them! Beyond all the flavours, sweeteners, enhancers and other goodies already added to those biscuits and doughnut (I say doughnut as I could only eat one,) something vital was missing. That missing substance that in wheat for example causes the release of feel-good hormones in the wheat-free foods was gone, and I really missed it!

Just imagine eating a food for years without that feel-good feeling after each morsel; making you want another one, and then eating one which does have this effect. Which one would you choose?! I don’t think you would have much choice; your brain will decide for you, and that is one reason why over-weight comfort food eaters who binge on cakes, biscuits, chocolate and many other foods, regularly can’t help themselves.

When you look, you won’t believe how hard it is to get away from wheat in your diet as it is exploited so much in modern foods to get you to eat more and buy more in regular, habitual ways! Even in carp fishing it is recognised that fish eating baits without supplemental nutritional foods can drop weight as with fish addicted to tiger nuts or peanuts alone, so using such things as part of your nutritional bait is a massive edge. You might not call it manipulating carp behaviours in your favour, or call it creating addictive or habit-forming behaviours, but it works in practice; you are your own guinea-pig every day! These edges are supplied to you by the bait secrets ebooks author with more experience of eating healthy biscuits and doughnuts (probably,) than any other author!

For thousands of bass fishing enthusiasts the thrill of discovering a great location for catching fish can almost equal the thrill of catching one. If you are new to bass fishing or if you are planning to fish in a new location, you will find more success with this simple plan to find the best fishing wherever you go!

STEP ONE:

Do your homework on the lake. Whether you are in a competition or going for fun, nothing can help you more than knowing a little about the best fishing spots.

You can begin with maps of the area. You can also get info in the local magazines or websites devoted to bass fishing. The more you have information about the area the better you can chart out your day and make the best catch.

STEP 2:

Speak to a fisher experienced in the area. Finding someone who knows the lake to help you on your first day will provide the best support and guidance for the greatest techniques and locations to use in that secluded body of water.

Seasons and fishing cycles will also affect the fishing and an experienced guide will be familiar with the changes that occur in fishing patterns in that water.

Do not be of the opinion that if you are a talented bass fisher then you don’t require a guide. Guides will surely raise your chances of success because they are familiar of the local area. But if you are not able to find a guide then you can look for information at the local fishing tools supply stores. Even though these suppliers give the same info to other out-of-town fishers who are most likely to crowd the same spots.

If you are preparing for a tournament you will want to have unbiased information lest the guide be in competition with you. Doing your own research and testing the lake before competition is still very important.

STEP THREE:

Know your prey. Even if you know the waters or not, you will still be able to find the best fishing locations.

Since bass like to stay close to objects rather than stay in open water you should try angling near rocks, trees or other cover.

At times of feeding or breeding the bass may settle at specific areas of the lake. Discovering about their routine will aid you with the selection of the best spots and techniques.

STEP 4:

Although finding a guide, researching, and studying habits of bass can help you greatly, you should still stay malleable Switching lures, weights, and locations often if you are not receiving results will provide you with allot of experience.

Remember that fish will not always be in the same place every time, so remain persevering and enjoy the hunt!

The RV industry has not been immune to the recent slump in the American economy. Actually, it may have been affected more than other industries as many Americans watch the strain increase on their flexible spending through market slumps and the rise of basic living costs. This obviously does nothing to help luxury items like high end motor sales move off the lot! In addition to that, increased gas prices have left many with a negative view of RVs as a travel option.

But the current financial climate has created a moment in time that is actually just as good a time to buy as ever…possibly the best time to buy in recent history. Savvy buyers are taking advantage of the current climate by looking into RV models that have low gas consumption levels in combination with the features needed to make a road trip a viable option for vacation.

The savvy shopper in today’s market is opting for the pop up trailer or truck trailer that can be hitched to vehicles already owned/in use. In this way, they can avoid the large increase in gas consumption that comes hand in hand with some of the larger, high end models. Towable units offer lower gas consumption levels as well as offering the additional benefit of mobility. The towable unit can be easily unhitched to allow travelers to run around town without carrying their RV with them. It can wait at the campsite. Due to these particular characteristics, the towable units have not seen the downturn in sales that larger models have seen.

When it comes to those interested in purchasing a used RV; the time is definitely right for a purchase. Consumers nationwide are looking for ways to come up with cash; ways to cut back on expenses. The first thing to go is always the luxury/non-essential items. For many, this means selling the RV. With a surplus of used RVs available and a lower than usual demand, you’ve got the perfect combination if you happen to be in the market for a used RV.

Buyers of any luxury product in the recent financial climate have a fantastic advantage; there’s an obvious lack of demand and plenty of supply. The result is that RV prices are falling; they’re lower than they’ve been in years. In addition to fabulous prices, there are an inordinate amount of special incentives and deals out there for the benefit of the buying consumer. Patient shoppers can come up with a fantastic purchasing package!

Many Americans are accustomed to a lifestyle that involves travel and vacationing. While the economic slump may cause these individuals to rethink their travel plans, it does not necessarily require them to cancel vacations altogether. A motor home can be a great budget-friendly trip in place of more extravagant, long distance travel. Families can eliminate hotel and restaurant costs, and enjoy the free or nearly-free sights of the natural world by visiting a lake, state park, or near-by attraction. Many travelers find that it is not the distance traveled that constitutes a restful and enjoyable vacation, but rather the way that time is spent. Many vacationers will likely look closer to home for their summer destinations, and traveling and staying by RV is one of the more comfortable ways to enjoy a road trip or camping vacation.

For others among us, it is a serious sport. Here are some things to consider. For any angler, how to get to the point of fishing is one of the first concern areas. Canoe was at one time one of the most dependable and trusted ways to travel according to American Indians. Though good for paddling to reach some hitherto undetected fish zones, the canoe is rather unstable and difficult to handle during windy times.

A small rowboat without a motor is considered the best kind of boat to use since you can stand up in it to cast. In case you are traveling far to do your fishing keeping a trolling motor makes sense. But when you are moving into big lakes or river choose boats with high sides to remain safe from large waves.

Remember to choose the right type of footwear if you are going fishing by the side of a lake. Hip boots are the most practical for this as they can be rolled down if you? Stream wading can be done using hip boots, though chest and hip waders are conventionally used. Go for loose chest and hip waders.

Jackets are a necessity while fishing. If you are fishing from a boat, or find yourself wading through shallow water, a longer jacket is necessary. To prevent the bottom portion of long jackets getting drenched in water while using chest waders, use short jackets in stead. You should select a jacket with generous pockets for carrying lure boxes and other accessories. While you watch the waters, remember to wear a hat with a visor, as it provides adequate shade.

If you are a good angler, you would always carry three stashes of lure and tackle box where the first one is meant for home stockpile, the larger and second one for the boat and third is for the car. This keeps you ready to face any crisis. To prevent from running out of supplies, buy in large quantities right at the beginning of the season, especially if you plan to fish at night.

With the right fishing accessories and gear, you can turn your fishing experience into a better one. What can be more sensible than that? Being ready is one of the most critical aspects of fishing.

It differs from one person to the other. Here are some points to consider. One of the important considerations is how to reach the water. Though not among the most trusted water vehicles, the American Indians used canoes and is one of the oldest recorded water transports. Canoes are good to reach small nooks and crevices in water where fish remain in hiding, but it is important to remember that canoes are unstable as a rule and can not face up to strong winds.

A small rowboat without a motor is considered the best kind of boat to use since you can stand up in it to cast. In case you are traveling far to do your fishing keeping a trolling motor makes sense. But when you are moving into big lakes or river choose boats with high sides to remain safe from large waves.

What you wear on your feet is probably one of the most important choices especially if you are going fishing beside a lake. If you are not thinking of wading, hip boots can provide the most feasible solution as they can be rolled down. For wading through a stream hip boots are right, though chest and hip waders are more preferred. Also tight fitting gear can cause problems at the seams, which would, after a time, leave you wet.

A suitable jacket must be worn. When boat fishing or having to wade through shallow water, a longer jacket would be necessary. To prevent the bottom portion of long jackets getting drenched in water while using chest waders, use short jackets in stead. Carrying lure and other accessories become convenient when you buy a jacket which has lots of pockets. Another beneficial accessory is a hat with a visor.

Having suitable fishing equipment will eventually add a lot of value to your fishing experience. What can be more disappointing to find that you do not have the right accessory just when the perfect catch is approaching you? When you are fitted out with the correct equipment, your fishing experience can be elevated to a higher level in terms of enjoyment.

The colors in the Upper Peninsula in the fall will be well worth the trip to see. There are nine different areas that are suggested. The first is a trip of 105 miles from Hancock to Lake Linden, on to Lac La Belle, Bete Grise and then to Copper Harbor. Leave Copper Harbor and go to Eagle River and on to Calument and Laurium and back to Hancock. The route covers Mackinac County with the peak color expected in mid-October, Chippewa County with the peak color expected the first two weeks of October, Luce County with peak color expected the first two weeks of October and Schoolcraft County with the peak color also being the first two weeks in October. This is called the Eastern Upper Peninsula tour.

The Central Upper Peninsula tour goes from highway 107 to 64 at Silver City, on to Ontonagon, then hwy 45 to Rockland and Victoria where you backtrack to highway 26 and go to Greenland. You split at Greenland and take highway 38 to Baraga then hwy 41 to Chassel and Houghton where you take highway 26 to Twin Lakes and back to Greenland. This tour is 200 miles and covers Delta County where the peak will be around the second week in October, Monominee County where the peak will be the first or second week in October, Dickinson County with peak being the first week in October, Marquette County with the first week in October being peak and Alger County where peak will be the last week in September to the first week in October.

Now you can take the third tour which takes you on hwy 2 from Ironwood and Wakefield to Watersmeet, Iron River and Crystal Calls on the Western Upper Peninsula. Then take hwy 141 to Covington and then to highway 28 to Bruce Crossing and back to the beginning at Wakefield. Peak season for seeing this colorful route is the last week in September and the first week in October.

The fourth option is to start in Ishpeming on highway 29, go to highway 510 to Nagaunee and Big Bay, then 550 to Marquette and 28 to Munising, where you can take highway H 58 to H 15 to Singleton and highway 28 to Highway 94 to Chatham, Gwinn and then 35 to Palmer and back to Ishpeming. This trip is 165 miles.

Tour 5 is a little shorter beginning at Iron Mountain and Norway on Hwy 2 to Spalding, hwy 41 to Menominee and Hwy 35 to Cedar River and Escanaba. This is 125 miles long.

The sixth option is from Esdcanaba on hwy 2/41 to Rapid River then hwy 2 to Manistique and Saint Ignace. This is 183 but in a rather straight line.

Try tour 7 which starts at Whitefish Point and goes on to Paradise on hwy 123. Newberry is next on highway 28. Now go to Seney and take hwy 77 to grand Marais and H58 to Deer Park and back to highway 123 and Paradise. This route is 150 miles in length.

If you thought you had taken all the tours of this area you are wrong, there are two more stunning experiences for you to enjoy. Tour 8 starts at Saint Ingace on hwy 75 and toes to Kincheloe and Sault St. Marie. Now head south to highway 129 and Pickford to highway 48 for a visit to Goetzville and De Tour Village where you will get on 134 to Cedarville and then back to Saint Ignace. Another trip of 150 miles.

Number 9 is off highway 28 where you join highway 123 and enter Eckerman. Follow 123 north to Paradise and then back to the intersection to turn east toward Curley Lewis Scenic Highway. You will stay on this to Bay Mills and Brimley. Of all the suggested tours this is the shortest being only 90 miles. A Tour of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

The United States, Australia and Canada have Bass fishing as their favorite sport. Many competitions are conducted all through the year and thus bass fishing has become a very profitable industry.

Although bass is an edible fish, sport anglers do not treat them as food. During a fishing tournament, bass are caught, weighted and then release back into the water. If the bass are stressed, they are placed in a holding tank for treatment and then released back into the water right after treatment is completed.

There are many factors that can affect your performance as a professional bass fishing angler. First, you need to understand the biology and behaviour of the bass that you want to catch. Knowing how bass behave in different water and temperature environments, their habitats and many other factors can affect your fishing outcome.

For instance, bass fish are very lethargic in very hot or cold water. They generally do not put up a fight when they are trapped. Nevertheless, they feed and grow up quickly when the temperature is reasonable. When the temperature is moderate they normally put up a tough fight when they are trapped.

They also prefer to stay hidden and eat smaller fish. Knowing this will give you insight into what lures to purchase.

Besides learning about the bass fish, you need to understand and maximize the use of your fishing equipment. The type of rods, reels, lines and lures to use will depend on the type of bass fish you are expecting to catch. You certainly do not want your equipment to fail at the moment when a fish bites.

When in a tournament, you rarely stay stationary in one spot for a long time. If you are not getting any results in one spot, you must rapidly find another fishing spot to increase your chances at success. The ability to read a fishing map fluently will play to your advantage when trying to locate a great fishing location

A piece of advice to take would be to visit a supply store near the actual location of the competition. You can talk to the store owners and learn useful information about hot fishing spots.

But if you are an entertaining angler, then you must pick up your fishing technique and information on a customary basis. Get and exchange ideas and pointers for other successful bass fish anglers. Most successful anglers would love to impart their knowledge.

Going online to fishing forums helps you make friends that have common interests. You can meet fishers from all over the world that will add to your fishing knowledge.

By following these tips you can enhance your fishing experience and make your results far more prosperous.

by Dane Masters

One of the very first things you must figure out while planning your trip would be your prerogatives. You must be more detailed with yourself than just saying you want to fish. This may mean several different things to everyone embarking on the trip.

One person will be happy by trapping 20 fish per day, while another may anticipate 30 fish per hour. Thus it is better that you plan before you venture.

Let’s access some of the most important things to ponder when choosing your fishing vacation.

The type of fish you want to grab?

While this may seem obvious, it is something that needs to be discussed. One person may want to fish for walleye and northern pike, while others may want to go bass fishing. Since many northern lakes have water too cold for bass, you may end up at a lake that would really disappoint the bass fisherman.

Is your aim for tons of action, or even trophy fish?

Some trollers simply take pleasure in grabbing lots of fish with the hope of acquiring a few big ones. Other fishers give up grabbing a huge quantity of fish for a catch of the largest fish they can find. You have to settle on which is more significant to your fishing group… heaps of fish which are not big or lesser number but a good opportunity of a big one.

Understand that there are lakes where you can do both of these styles of fishing. They do tend to be secluded and pricier than the average lodge and are not always affordable for the average fishing group.

Mode of Trapping Your fish?

Do you like to troll? Or drift? Fish in streams? Deep water fish?

There have been people who have trolled in 60 foot waters thinking the fish were near the surface. There is not a great chance to catch fish this way at all. Be sure to know what your group’s preferences are and if the lake can provide it.

How much can you spend?

The cost you are prepared to spend will have a big affect on the kind of fishing trip you take.

Be realistic. How much do you really want to spend? Are you comfortable in a tent or tar-paper shack on a lake with great fishing?

Or would you rather stay in a high quality lodge?

Do you want to cook for yourself… or do you want the fishing camp to do the cooking?

And what about freshening up amenities? Are you eager to use a common shower or do you want a personal shower and bath in your own confine? Gentlemen, if you plan to take your spouse on this trip, make extremely sure you judge this one! If you do not, it can ruin an otherwise big trip.

Other conditions are the length of the trip and the kind of fish you are expecting to catch. A trip to a fishing club on a lake with pan fish and bass will prone be much cheaper than a trip to Alaska or Northern Canada for arctic char.

So, if you actually want a best fishing trip, start by scheduling just precisely what you want out of the trip and how much you are eager to spend. Do it correct and you can have the fishing trip of a lifetime.

Angling is a great sport to participate and you need to get familiar with the rules of the game. Make it a point never to take an action that will hurt the other anglers around yo or damage the environment. Fishing is a very ancient practice and as far as recorded history shows us, it has been around more than 10,000 years ago. Technological advances may have increased the chances of catching fish but many of the tried and tested rules still apply.

We must all remember to look after our waterways, they are one of nature’s greatest gifts that should be preserved for the future generations and do not let your short term desire damage an important part of the ecological system. You can make a conscious decision to leave the areas in which people fish in better condition than when you found it. Take great care of our lakes, rivers, ponds and other waterways so that others will enjoy these areas for years to come. This can be achieved simply by practicing good angling habits. One of the worst things you can do when you are fishing is leave litter for someone else to clear up - have respect for the environment and don’t do this. Dispose them off properly in dumping stations. By doing just this, yo alone can make a lot of difference in preserving the environment.

The right kind of fishing equipment is necessary to make the most of your time. Check for the number of fish and the type which you can keep. Do your research and find what these limits, pay good attention to them, and don’t wait until you are at your ‘peg’, ready to fish, and then search for what is allowed and what isn’t allowed. Get to know the restrictions for each spot you plan. If you plan on using a boat, research to see what kinds of watercraft are allowed where you are going to fish.

Do you know why some places are illegal to fish? Perhaps they are just protecting the wildlife or maybe there is hidden danger you don’t want to find out! Do not compromise safety and always keep the life jacket fastened and secured in place.

Avoid making any careless mistake when hooking or removing bait, any unexpected jerks by a large fish may throw you into the icy cold water. Do not make the stupid mistake of fishing in unauthorized waterways. When you are planning this type of day away remember to include other necessary items such as an adequate supply of fresh water, and all safety items maps, flashlights and cell phones.

Today, fishing is a favorite past time of Americans, Canadian and Europeans. Do everything you can to help make fishing a part of the activity in the next century. Make it a rule to find ways to protect and preserve the environment around you and learn as much as is possible to become a better angler.
